Family Suites
The Quinta has two Family Suites.
The first option is Andorinha, the Quinta's most spacious double, and its attendant very small room, (when we say small we mean miniscule - it's big enough for the bunk bed and not a lot else!), and this is priced the same as "Andorinha as a Honeymoon Suite", (please see above), with either one or two extra beds, depending upon the number of children involved.
This option is ideal for those with younger families as one can shut the door of the private terrace outside and have privacy as well as heightened security for toddlers.
The second option is the two rooms Javali and Borbaleta, which interlink through a shared bathroom; these two rooms are larger than our normal double or twin rooms and the bathroom is again larger with both a bath and a separate shower.
It also has Disabled Facilities.
Javali has a large double bed while Borbaleta has two single beds and a bunk bed as well. These two rooms are again priced the same as
"Andorinha as a Honeymoon Suite", (please see above), with
either one, two, three or four extra beds, depending upon the number of children involved, making them an affordable option for families in general, but more imprtantly
for those
with larger or older families as the second room, Borbaleta, is larger and, as stated, it has more beds available.
Discounts!!!
20% "Week or More" Discount
There's a 20% discount
for any reservation of a week or more at any time of the year, apart from during August. For
example, reserving a double room during mid season for one week costs 616 euros instead of 770 - that's a week's accommodation for two people for £550!
Not bad, so get your skates on as
there's never been a better time to take a break here!
Group Discounts
There is a 25% group discount of any reservation that takes 3 rooms or more for 4 nights or more at any time apart from New Year or during August.
Late availability Discounts
There is a 10% discount for any reservation, (except Aguia), made within a week of arrival providing that the reservation and deposit is paid completely through this website before arrival.
Please note that any discounts we may offer from time to time are not concurrent.
Other
Every room price is calculated as being for two people. Extra beds on top of this are 25 euros at any time of year (not including cots) and this price is excluded from any special offers that may be promoted from time to time. Obviously if a bedroom has a double bed and an extra bed as standard, (for example Pesca Peixe), the extra bed is only charged if it is filled by a third person. A bunk bed filled by two children counts as two extra beds; with just a single child, surprise surprise, it counts as one ...
The Quinta is not supplied with electricity from the National Grid but makes its own through solar power and a 3 phase generator. The sockets are standard Portuguese 2 pin and provide normal 240 volts. We don't have air conditioning, but all the rooms are insulated and keep cool in the summer. In the winter Andorinha, Abertada and Aguia are centrally heated, the others not. We have small gas heaters for these if they're needed at a cost of 5 euros per night.
All the prices shown above include breakfast. Wifi is free and the use of bicycles, canoes, sailing dinghy, pedaloes and sauna are all included in the price.
Our minimum stay is two nights during Mid and High Season.
Deposits are needed to reserve any room at the Quinta. This can be done via PayPal, (via the "Book Online" page of this site), or to our UK or Portuguese accounts. Please note though that there is an additional 4% Banking Charge when paying via PayPal and a 5% Currency Conversion Charge if paying to our UK account. There is no charge for payment in euros to our Portuguese account. Should you wish to pay to either our Portuguese or British accounts we will send you the details by email.
The standard deposit is 25% with a minimum of the equivalent of 2 night's stay. Once accepted, this deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable except in exceptional cases and cancellations within two weeks prior to arrival incur the full cost of the nights reserved.
Whilst making every effort to satisfy our guests wishes as regards individual rooms booked at the Quinta, to facilitate the running of the establishment we reserve the right to upgrade or move bookings to an equivalent room at no extra charge.
Check-in time
Please note that our latest check-in time is 22.00.
If for any reason you're going to be later than this please let us know and we'll organise someone to stay up for you, but this is charged at 10 euros per hour.
Food!
We have a professional chef at all times at the Quinta and can provide all your food while you're here.
The style is "International Home Cooking", i.e. our meals are prepared on site with, as far as possible, local ingredients. There's lashings of it - you won't go hungry - and it's not from packets.
Lunch, (15 euros for adults and 9 for children under 12), is a buffet style eat-all-you-can selection of hot and cold dishes followed by pudding, with water and coffee supplied but other drinks extra; dinner, (22.50 for adults and 15 for children), is a slightly more formal 3 course meal. There is an extensive "ornithological" wine list that compliments the lively conversation around the dinner table!
And last but not least .....
Would you like a free bottle of wine upon arrival?!
Do you or your friends have a blog? If you do and you say something about your upcoming holiday along with a link through to any page on our web site then we'll give you a free bottle of wine when you arrive! Not bad, eh?
Just email our webmaster, promo@paradiseinportugal.com, with the address for your blog and he will check and make sure that your bottle of wine is set aside.
